Special
Note: Please forgive my delay in posting this project. It was a challenge
to figure out and to write up. I want to thank all of you, who contacted
me and shared your memories. I hope these instructions will help create
many more. Have a Happy and Safe Holiday Season and of course, I hope you
have fun making it, DAZ
Supplies:
12 square or rectangle
wooden cut outs all the same size
Elmer's Glue
3 yds. Ribbon, (I used 2 yds of one color, 1 of another)
Scissors
Instructions:
1.
Cover one side
of each wooden cutout with glue.
2.
Lay the end
of the single color ribbon in the middle of the cut out with the excess
ribbon on the right.
3.
Now lay the
ends of the other ribbon on either side of the middle ribbon across
the cutout with the excess ribbon on the opposite side or the left
side.
4.
Put another
cutout on top, with the glue side down. Press together.
5.
Now cross the
middle ribbon over the top so the excess is on the left and the outside
ribbons over so their excess is on the right.
6.
Stack a cutout
on top with the glue side up.
7.
Cross all ribbons
to the opposite sides. Make sure the ribbon is tight.
8.
Place cutout
on with glue side down. Press together.
9.
Cross ribbon
to opposite sides.
10.
Stack cutout
with glue side up.
11.
Cross over ribbons.
12.
Place cutout
with glue side down, press firmly.
13.
Continue this
routine until you are on the last cutout that has glue side up.
14.
Cut the ribbon
so that the ends will fall in the center of the cutout. Now stack
last cutout glue side down. Press, let dry.
